Our Mission

Advocating and growing young dancers and artists by showcasing the athleticism and artistry of dance through youth performances and outreach.

Education and Outreach

In the 2023-2024 Season, Bayou Ballet performed the world premier of ‘Clyde the Cajun Calf’ for 1000 students across Calcasieu Parish. Based on the children’s book by Tommie Townsley, the ballet told the story of this curious cow as he explores the beautiful landscape of Louisiana. Through the generosity of Mrs. Townsley, 16 books were donated to schools and students. 1000 students participated in trying ballet movements, such as Retiré, Port de Bras, and Plié.
